According to a recent post on BioWare’s official blog, Hudson stated that Dragon Age is an important property for the developer, and he along with Anthem Executive Producer Mark Darrah are “excited to continue its legacy.” What’s more is that the BioWare GM went on to say that fans should look for more information about what’s to come for the fantasy-RPG franchise “in the coming month”. However, Hudson didn’t declare exactly when or where one should expect this announcement to come from.

With Hudson teasing that Dragon Age fans will get an announcement related to the franchise in December, there’s a good chance that BioWare will opt to use The Game Awards 2018 as a means to reveal the forthcoming entry in the series. After all, the show’s creator, Geoff Keighley, has confirmed that there will be 10 new game reveals at the event, and with BioWare already being on-hand to promote Anthem, all signs seem to be pointing to a new Dragon Age title debuting during TGA 2018 next week.

While a new Dragon Age game has been all but confirmed to be revealed next month, BioWare’s tease will undoubtedly get fans talking about what’s on deck for the series. A few months ago, Hudson discussed the design ethos behind the next DA game to mitigate the community’s concerns that it could adopt a “games-as-a-service” business model akin to Anthem. Of course, since Hudson neither explicitly confirmed nor denied that live services would play a major role in the creation of the next Dragon Age, we will simply have to wait and see what stems from the studio’s announcement next month.

The latest release in the Dragon Age franchise is Dragon Age: Inquisition, which can be played on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
