Last year’s New Game Plus Expo aired on June 23rd, 2020, and featured publishers such as NIS America, Natsume, Inti Creates, Atlus, Koei Tecmo, SNK, Arc System Works, and more. While the showcase didn’t feature any major game announcements, it did provide updates on some titles that fans were eagerly anticipating at the time, and localizations that had yet to be confirmed. The showcase was met with some mixed reception from fans who expected more from some of its publishers, but there were some neat announcements such as Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2.

New Game Plus Expo is slated to return on March 4th, 2021, and this time Aksys Games, Arc System Works, GungHo Online Entertainment, Grasshopper Manufacture, Idea Factory, Inti Creates, Koei Tecmo, and NIS America will be featured in the showcase, among others. The showcase will air on Twitch at 8 am PT.
Given the inclusion of Grasshopper Manufacture’s owner GungHo, it is possible the studio is ready to announce a release date for No More Heroes 3. NIS America is also planning to release Disgaea 6 this summer, which has yet to receive a solid release date. Koei Tecmo also recently stated that Nioh developer Team Ninja is planning a new game announcement in 2021, which we could see teased at this event. Arc System Works is also gearing up for the release of Guilty Gear Strive on April 9th, so another character is likely to be revealed at this event.
