“So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time. I am really hopeful that people will be surprised with the changes we have implemented for this Wii version.”

That is quite interesting, but what kind of changes can we expect after the Twilight Princess traded in the classic Zelda style with a darker one? IGN also interviewed Mr. Aonuma and got a a few more details for the upcoming game.

How they plan to change up the classic Zelda formula while still having it appeal to its core audience is beyond me, but I have faith in Nintendo that they will be able to produce something revolutionary that will really breathe life into the series. Mr. Aonuma has stated that hopefully they will be able to show the game of at E3 2010, but in the meantime Zelda fanboys and girls can buy The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks due out for Nintendo DS on December 7th this year.

Are you excited to see what kinds of changes Eiji was talking about, or are you scared to see what Nintendo might have done with Link?
