Fans were excited when Syphon Filter game ratings began to appear online for PS4 and PS5, suggesting that the franchise would be coming to PlayStation Plus. And fans were not disappointed, as the first Syphon Filter game came to PS Plus Premium last year in June, allowing players to jump back into the third-person shooter stealth game on their newer consoles. Syphon Filter 2 soon followed, and now Syphon Filter 3 has joined the lineup as of the latest update.

Players can easily obtain the Platinum Trophy for Syphon Filter 3. The Platinum Trophy in the game does not require players to play the game more than once, there are no missable trophies or glitched out trophies, and there is only one specific action trophy, which is to kill one enemy with a knife. Push Square points out that players can do this quite early on in the game and then not have to worry about it for the rest of the game’s 8-hour runtime.
Sometimes, games can go in the opposite direction. Some easy PlayStation games can have difficult Platinum Trophies, forcing players to replay the game multiple times on harder difficulty settings or even play games of chance within the larger game that could take an absurd amount of time to complete. Luckily for PS Plus Premium members though, Syphon Filter 3 just needs to completed once and players can pick up the Platinum.
Some games have Platinum trophies that are tied to the narrative in the game, rather than just completing a series of fetch-quests or chore-like tasks. God of War Ragnarok’s Platinum Trophy is very much tied to the journey that Kratos and Atreus go on, and it is also a representation of their growing and evolving relationship as father and son.
Trophy hunting is a time-honored tradition for PlayStation fans, and many players get quite into the competitive spirit of trying to get as many trophies as possible. Others, though, like to take their time with games and enjoy them for the narrative or gameplay experience. Either way, easy Platinum Trophies like the one for Syphon Filter 3 don’t always come around, so PS Plus Premium members should definitely take advantage and pick it up.
